by - April 24, 2019

 Hey there crafty souls :)
This is Anu and I am back again to introduce our
next MASTER CRAFTER
MANU GUPTA

We did a Q&A session with her to know her better!
Read her story & her journey below

Hello, I’m Manu a software engineer by profession
turned into a crafter! I’m a creatives soul and
love making varied kinds of Art and Craft.
I live in Noida with my husband and
my 5 year old daughter.

Are you a full time crafter ?

Yes, I love being a full time crafter and I’m fortunate enough to pursue my love for myc creativeside in the best possible manner. I don the roll of my home manager along and thus this is a total win win situation.

Your style of crafting ? Which is your favorite form of craft ?

I’m a mixed persona of all the styles and I love to try out all forms of crafting as it nourishes, enhances and polishes the skills, however, SCRAPBOOKING is the closest to my heart. I love conceptualizing my scrapbooks and the thrill of incorporating a new style/technique is the best part of it.

Any craft brand you own ?

A Handfull of Art
is my conceptualization and I’m fortunate enough to have my clients (and the folks around me who propels me to take new flights and helps me achieved the newer heights.

When you started your crafting journey ?
And what was the first thing you created ?(if you remember)

My journey from a Software Engineer to a SAHM to a crafter is every bit of a dream I always had about doing something creative and to spread ‘Smiles across miles’.
Crafting began as an exploration journey into varied forms of crafts and realizing the vastness and the opportunities that tagged along. I started making handmade cards for
my family and slowly jumped fully into crafting.
A Handfull of Art was born thus, and my
baby venture gave me the freedom and the spirit to paint my dreams red.

From where your draw the inspiration for your art ?

I have always admired nature and have taken a minute to admire all those cloud shapes in my childhood. A soothing bird song, a nature’s walk have always been the focal point
of the amalgam of my creative side. I always had the inclination towards art in school and college
and my notebooks always were full of some form of art at the corners.
I remember about the School Magazines Cover designing contest and the winner would have their art published. I hid from my folks (it was my boards and I didn’t wanted to let them know that I was painting) and quietly made my painting (it was a few kids sitting on a flying Pen with the caption as, “Fly high, higher, the sky is the limit “). That proud glow on my father’s face when my artwork was published on the school magazine was the
kick start and I have loved art ever since.

What/ who motivates you the most to keep working ?

‘A Handfull of Art’ is my dream come true and have always taught me to NEVER give up and always give another shot. The sole fact that I’m contributing to someone’s special
moment in the form of a little handmade token is what inspires me to take a step forward and achieve my dreams. It couldn’t have been made possible without my
husband by my side and his faith in my dreams.

Any major achievements you would like to mention ?

I have been fortunate enough to work with the best brands in India, Dress My Craft and
Mudra (for whom I’m the stamp co-ordinator and we help getting you the bestest of the best stamps).

Anything you would like to tell people about yourself and about your art

With 200+ scrapbooks under my belt, I plan to keep creating more and more.
The ‘Smiles across Miles’ that my scrapbooks spreads and helps in creating memories for my clients is the key driving force. I also plan to organize more workshops to inspire and teach the creative folks across
the globe.
