Hi I am Alyce Keegan from Brisbane, Australia.

Are you a full time crafter?

I am a full time crafter teaching online coloring classes for markers & pencils &

managing our Kit and Clowder community. It is a big job as I end up working 7 days a week,

every week, but I am grateful to be able to do something that hopefully helps others feel inspired,

confident and to help them believe they are more than capable of achieving their dreams with coloring.

Your style of crafting? which is your favorite form of craft?

My style is more shabby chic cardmaking - lots of layers & embellishments.

Coloring is my favorite form of crafting - with all mediums. It's hard to pick a favorite.

When did you started you crafting journey? What was the first thing you created?

I colored stamps from The Greeting Farm and made some cards.

It shows that we all start as beginners and it is hard work, practice & 

dedication that helps us grow.

From where you draw inspiration for your art?

As I teach classes, I try not to be influenced by other crafters, but I do look

at alot of inspiration pictures just of nature in general to help get color and

detail inspiration.

What/ Who motivates you to keep working?

All of the members of our community - I am always inspired by the people

who push themselves to be challenged to try new things, who keep going when

they are struggling with things going on in life. Our community is something special

where people come to share their lives and receive support from others all around the world.

It is truly inspiring to see others motivate and support each other like this.

Any major achievements you would like to mention?

I was crowned Queen of Copic in 2013 by Copic.

I also won Telstra Young Businesswoman of the Year in 2017 &

Craft Educator of the Year.

But I think my major achievements is when we were accepted to do

craft workshops for our State Children's Hospital and Cancer Council -

It felt like a huge honor to be allowed to do these workshops for the children & patients.

Anything else you would like to share with us all? Your hobbies? anything

I love watching t.v shows while I work, with a love of 90s dramas.

I am a huge Taylor Swift fan, love all chocolates & anything cute.

My motivations & goals are just to help others feel confident. I never had

anything I was good at before I found coloring and I put in so much practice

to be able to be where I am now. I just want others to know that they are capable

if they put the efforts in too. That's why Kit and Clowder was born -not to sell classes

but to be a community and family to help others.
